Curtis Blount Award

The Outstanding Paper Award presented annually at the SPE ICoTA Conference in Houston, was named the Curtis Blount Award in his honour after his passing on 12th May 2019. Curtis was a true pioneer of the well intervention industry and an integral part of ICoTA.

Winners of this esteemed prize will not only receive accolades for their exceptional work; they will also receive an all-expenses-paid trip to present their work at any ICoTA conference worldwide.

Innovation Award

The ICoTA Award for Innovation & Technology is judged and presented annually by the Europe Chapter of the Intervention & Coiled Tubing Association. Celebrating excellence in the well intervention industry, the prize is awarded to a service company or operator that has pushed the boundaries of well intervention technology.

Judges will be looking for a technological application which can be either new technology or an existing technology used in an innovative way. Award entries must show value to the industry in reducing risk, increasing recovery, improving safety, minimising environmental impact, and/or diversifying well intervention technology for use outside the traditional oil and gas industry.
